Study Island is a tool that can allow teachers and students access to prompts and questions like those on the Ohio Achievement Test. To log into Study Island (SI), go to www.studyisland.com. A username should have been provided to you by the principal of your school. If you do not have a username, contact your principal or the administrator for Study Island for your district. You must also know your password to log into the system.

Once you are in the system, you may click on a grade level. This page will give you a view of what the student sees when he or she logs into SI. Each standard is listed in a shortened manner and includes a lesson to describe the standard. The lessons are a way for students to study prior to taking tests on SI. Students are encouraged to keep the system in Test Mode, unless instructed by the teacher to do otherwise.

Teachers may go to School Stats to view how students are performing on each topic. Reports on an entire grade, a class, or an individual student may be viewed from this page.

Class pages may be set up by teachers to view statistics on a given class. So, teachers have access to enter the members of each of their classes on this page. To do this, simply type in the title of your class and click “Next” at the top of the page. Be sure to include your name in the title so that each class will be recognizable by others. Once the class is created, you may click “Add Users In Grade Level” to select the students in the current grade. Simply click on the students by placing a check next to the name. This will place each child in the designated class. Be sure to save your additions. Changes to classes can be made if students are accidentally added or deleted.

Students may access SI from school or at home. SI gives parents a chance to see what students are expected to do in a given class at a given grade level. For further assistance, teachers may contact help at study island or email the SI administrator of their school.
